History
Jackpot's story begins with the team of Jørgen and Carli Gry. Gry's colourful, relaxed and feminine designs began to sell in the early 1970's. From her small basement shop in Copenhagen, Gry was locally the first to offer fashion items made in blue denim which soon became a huge hit and young women loved it. With the mix of other famous fashion-labels and Gry's own designs, the little shop soon became a destination shop for many.
In 1974, Klaus Helmersen brought Gry designs to a wider market by launching the brand "Jackpot by Carli Gry". The clothes were still inspired by simple and beautiful design features from Gry's early days but popularity was growing fast as the word was spreading.
Jackpot as it is today...
Jackpot is a lifestyle brand with a strong individual touch, flair and vision. The label is using a lot of hand painted floral designs and a beautifully modulated Japanese colour scheme. The team behind the label really feel that the warmth of their colours and floral artwork are unique elements and what sets them apart. They also feel that they have a real eye for the new and make sure that designs are innovative whilst remaining traditional in many other ways.
Jackpot is a Scandinavian fashion brand for the modern woman in love with life and offers inspiration to combine and create an individual style, with focus on quality, unique patterns, colours, and an excellent fit.
At Diva and Getmyfashion.com we stock their clothes and accessories range but he brand also includes shoes, children's clothing and items for bath and home.
Introducing Organic Cotton...
Jackpot works together with MADE-BY, www.made-by.org, an umbrella organization of socially and ethically committed fashion labels. Together with this organization, Jackpot is aiming to increase the amount of organically grown cotton which they use in their production. As the demand for organic cotton is on the rise, Jackpot will follow. Currently, only about 10 % of their range is produced in 100% organically grown cotton but the assortment of organic clothing is growing. Jackpot has also initiated a certification process to ensure good working conditions for their production workers which is a very controversial and important subject these days.
Jackpot & IC Companys
In April 2001, Jackpot became part of a new overall structure. Carli Gry International A/S merged with InWear Group A/S to form IC Companys. Jackpot is IC Companys' biggest female brand followed closely by Sandwich and InWear.
IC Companys is building on tradition and their concept is to design and sell clothing for women and men who are both style and quality-conscious..
IC Companys has evolved into the "Home of fashion brands" and it has ten other well-known labels which it sells all over the world.
