Lie down I think I love you; brand history
Lie down I think I love you was established two years ago by two London-girls, Lisa and Emily.
Both girls have previous experience in fashion and come from a background of both high street and designer accessories but felt that they wanted to create a brand that went against the ubiquitous designer rip offs mass production and soulless ‘it' bags.
The company, which is based in an Victorian bookbinders building in Highbury, currently has two ranges; ‘Lie down I think I love you' boutique which is sold in more upmarket boutiques and stores such as Fenwick's on Bond street which is the biggest and most well-known outlet.Emily and Lisa also designs a diffusion line called ‘Sweetheart‘ which is sold in concessions at Top shop.
The duo is working closely with British-based leather merchants & craftsmen and a family run factory, to create a wholly British product.Lie down I think I love you pride themselves in working within a close team from the passionate pattern cutter to the great girls on the shop floor in order to create a great product.
Working on the ethos ‘less is more' only a few key shapes are created each season for the boutique range and these styles are updated through the season with new colour ways.
Both ranges are able to obtain an individuality with their vintage scarf collections which are used as lining to create a truly unique product. The bags incorporate a different vintage scarf into the design so no two bags will be the same.

Angela Hosie, the buyer and merchandiser of our company saw the bags when the first collection came out and totally fell in love with them. First introduced in our Totnes shop the customers felt the same instant love for these gorgeous unusual bags and the label was an immediate success.
We have had a couple of bags for sale online too which we will continue to do for next season but ‘we normally sell out of the bags as soon as they arrive on the shelf and therefore don't get a chance to sell them online. Keep checking our product-pages if you want to get your hands on one of these unique handbags!
