Company History
Michael Stars was founded in California, United States in 1986. Recognizing the potential of the humble T-shirt, Michael Stars has been a continual pioneer in creating “casual couture”. The Los Angeles based, family-run company remains a leader in the women’s contemporary market, distinguished by its contoured fit, unique colors and comfortable fabrics. According to Los Angeles Magazine, ‘Michael Stars is the 20 year old T-shirt company many credit with giving birth to the trend for fitted T’s’.
At the start of Michael Stars, the company was initially modestly run out of a garage by three family members, all of whom remain with the company today which has grown to over 200 employees, and has concurrently seen its distribution expand from the local Southern California market to all 50 states and beyond. The company, now offering more than 200 styles in over 30 colors per season, the Michael Stars collection of tees includes a wide variety of styles available in fabrics like Shine, Supima Cotton, Supima Modal, Supima Thermal, and Micro Jersey.

Recently celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson have been spotted wearing the Michael Stars casual T.
