Rhianna Wears Nobody Jeans

Well, if its cool enough for Rhianna…

Seems like the best investment to me at the moment. Get yourself a good pair of jeans and enjoy the feel of the perfect fit and the look of the perfect cut which you get when spending a few extra pennies on a pair of premium denim jeans.

Australian born, designed & made Nobody jeans is the thing of the moment and new in at Diva & Getmyfashion for this season the novelty doesn’t seem to wear off. They are simply fabulous! Choose between the Cult straight or the Cult Skinny, both with high rise waist to make sure the middle bit stays firmly in place.

Whilst waiting for summer to arrive, wear you Nobodys with tunics & dresses as an alternative to the legging or simply layer with summer-tees & knitwear under a blazer.

…and if its cool enough for Rhianna. Here she’s seen out in Paris with her Nobody Cult Skinny Code Jeans. Say no more…

Lucky Stripe

Stripes are as classic in style as they are on trend and it keeps ticking all boxes again and again, season on season. Whilst the classic Breton navy and white stripes are still the queen of stripes, we’re loving all the variations and colours but definitely lusting for the wider stripes as seen on this Chinti & Parker dress as featured in the Sunday Times Style Magazine on 18th March.

Take your pick at Getmyfashion and find YOUR Lucky stripes. Check out Chinti & Parker, Part Two, Great Plains, Jackpot and French Connection. Be spoilt for choice!

Keep the look simple and let the stripes do the talking. Get it right and you will ooze style and know-how when it comes to dressing. Stripes worn well gives a crisp and clean look and can easily take you from school-run to work to shopping and an evening out with friends.

The perfect stripe makes for a perfect day!

The Daily DressCode

Layers of effortless confidence. Love it! Ref. 'Rosie's daily dose' blogspot

Getting dressed in the morning is as exciting yet as challenging as choosing which chocolate to pick out of a truffle-selection. What do I fancy? What mood am I in? What look do I want to sport today? What am I doing today…is my choice fit for purpose? Well, high heels are not always suitable for the daily run-arounds,  but hey! Who cares? Heels make me feel good and they add some length to an otherwise average, if not short,  pair of legs.

My wardrobe is not a walk-in maze full of designer-clothes & shoes in the style of Carrie Bradshaw but it is not too bad either. I make some good purchases and some bad. There are some definite favourites and some which never leave the hanger.

My point may seem shallow to many, but I honestly believe that you are what you wear and your choice can have a positive or negative influence on your day.

If I feel good in myself, the day is a breeze. I feel energized, nothing can get me down and challenges are exciting.

Take time, take care and enjoy getting dressed! Love it! Have fun! Add some passion & thought. You’ll never know what the day will bring, who you will meet and what challenges and opportunities lay ahead.

Go for Goat!

It is now ten years since the birth of Goat.  Goat, so called because a few of those initial pieces were made from cashmere. A very British brand, worn by everyone from Victoria Beckham, Sienna Miller & Gwyneth Paltrow to Elle Macpherson and Kirsten Dunst, Goat quickly became the go-to label for effortless chic and the cashmere cardigan soon became their signature piece with their three large buttons.

Goat Fashion creates luxury pieces using only the best materials and most subtle design details. And to make this adorable & lovable label even more accessable & affordable Goat Library was born last year promising the same adorable pieces with the same fit and trimmings as the mainline collection.

New in  at Getmyfashion, we HQ-girls simply can’t pick a favourite. They are ALL longing-for-lust-haves and we can’t wait for payday!

Get It Before It Goes

Just like Lauren, I am going through the annual new year-new me restart process and everything gets an overhaul…well, at least it is all on my list to do although only a few pointers ticked so far. I am slowly cutting back on that lovely glass of wine at the end of the day, Christmas-chocolates still lurking in the cupboard are down to a minimum, the over xmas monthly exercise is almost back to the pre-xmas daily venture. However, the extra ounces around the waistline still there (still un-ticked) and wardrobe clear-out is far from ticked yet.

It is a funny time of the year which goes from full-on spring in the air one day to miserable, wet & windy autumn-weather the next. I am therefore still enjoying my woolly jumpers, my knit dresses and other buys from the season we have just left behind.  And how can we be sure that there isn’t going to be another cold-snap before we can fully enjoy spring???

SO… despite a new year, it is not a bad thing to hunt for a sale-bargain. Many pieces are trans-seasonal and will see you through to summer. Pick the right pieces and they will even be good for next winter.

My top five get-it-before-it-goes pieces are as follows;

Details from left; Grey & cream tie shrug cardigan £48 by Yaya, Salt & Pepper Boyfriend Cardigan £78 by Part Two, Pink Dree cardigan £48 by Avoca, Black Harriet Jersey ruched dress £34 by Great Plains, Grey curtain call dress £48 by Avoca

Noa Noa’s Winter Blue Knits

The JUMPER has given the much loved and very versatile CARDIGAN some strong competition this season but to me there is always room for both. Each one has their special place in my wardrobe and I couldn’t be without either.

The winter-blue chunky jumper and cardigan by NOA NOA  is what I am lusting after this week. The soft blue hue is warm & wintery and works really well with greys, cream & camel. Both are warm enough to wear outside but equally not too chunky for inside in front of the fire on a cosy evening with a glass of mulled wine in hand.
