What to get to get a head start on the new season? Well, the weather’s been so changeable this week that my mind has been running ahead to the autumn – winter season that’ll soon be edging its way in. Although it feels like we haven’t had a summer yet, I’m keen to invest in the beginnings of an exciting new-season wardrobe. And I’ve come up with a winning trans-seasonal formula…

This week we’ve been looking at colourful cover-ups. We might well be almost half way through the year, but we are far from being guaranteed sun and warmth for whatever we’ve got planned.
The key thing is to make sure that you have that extra layer to cover your arms and keep warm when the sun pops behind that inevitable cloud. And what better way to do this than with a splash of colour.
Here are my top five picks to keep the goose bumps at bay…

Poppy Red Sheer Slub Knit Cardigan by Saint Tropez, £34.95

Soft Seablue Contrast & Curve Cardigan by Noa Noa, £67

Pink Cropped Cardigan by Avoca, £69

Watermelon Marl Cardigan by Sandwich, £101

Spring-Green Curl Scarf by Caroline, £40
Brighten up your weekend, enliven that little black dress and keep the summer goosebumps at bay! See you soon, Laura x

Yay! It’s warm and sunny, just like they’ve been promising us for weeks… and our attention has turned to anything light and white – something you can pop on, and look fresh and cool in.
A pretty white top is the clothing equivalent of an ice-cold drink in this weather. Here are a few of my favourites… Just click on the images for further info…

Whatever you’re doing in this glorious weather, be sure to pair it with one of these beauties – Great Plains, European Culture, Sandwich… the list of possibilities is endless!
Have a lovely weekend and see you soon,

Bank holidays always make me crave new clothes… don’t you find that? Holiday atmosphere = must have new clothes!!! So we have had a day of lustful trying-on and purchasing. It’s been so much fun! Here’re the outfits accompanying us home this evening…
Louise has gone for two lovely summery pieces in the hope of brighter weather, and has teamed this gorgeous Odd Molly top with a pair of French Connection shorts.

And my new look is a sharp pair of tailored linen trousers from Great Plains teamed with a colour-pop jumper from Saint Tropez.

Now it’s your turn… What do you fancy to brighten up your weekend wardrobe?
See you soon,

So – the heat wave hasn’t materialized, but we have some sizzling new pieces in to make up for it! (Sorry, bad pun intended…)
Ladies, raise your glass to welcome our newest label onto the shop floor, Turnover. If you are a fan of Sandwich’s drapes, Farhi’s classic cuts and a softly muted colour pallet, then you’re going to love Turnover.
