Let’s Hear From You

I would LOVE to hear from you! I would LOVE to know a little bit more about you. Are you like me, a mother in your 40s trying to juggle work with schoolruns and daily domestic chores and have it all cosy and tidy and ready for when your husband walks through door at the end of the day??? (…and later collapse in the sofa with a glass of wine after children gone to bed). OR are you a woman in the midst or even height of your career, with or without a partner, who enjoys a hectic social life, lunch with the girls and lots of etail/retail-therapy on a regular basis? (The woman I am envying at many a times…) OR are you enjoying the post-work life of retirement, sleep-in mornings, globe-trotting around the world and with time to do all the things you never found the time for in the past?

Getmyfashion-fans, women of the world… please get in contact and let us know who you are and any comments you may have or any thoughts you may want to share.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

  1. Hi Malin

I feel like you all know me already (and vice versa)! As you know, I love your site, so much so that it has completely turned me off the grind of traipsing around shopping centres! So much nicer to sit at home at one’s leisure. It also gives me the chance to buy stuff that one cannot find here in Australia.

Me? I turned 50 in last month and celebrated in New York with my two daughters (18 and 21) and my South African born husband. I have lived in Australia since 1987; I am originally from the UK where I visit every other year or so to catch up with my mum and sister. Inevitably life changes as kids grow up and a new phase enters family life. I did the last school run in November last year and do not miss it one bit! These days I do get to travel a bit which is lovely. My next trip is a family reunion in Greece at the end of April and then onto the UK for a week or so.

I am an erstwhile silversmith in my spare time (I occasionally sell pieces) and also tutor refugee teenagers from Africa and the middle-east. Australia has a very commited humanitarium program and we have a small influx of sometimes traumatised yet wonderful kids who need a lot of help. I love the contact with them.

I think I have commented on your site before – all positive. I particularly appreciate that you stock items which are geared away from high-end fashion yet stylish and well cut for all of us. Sandwich is a particular favourite of mine as their clothes are quite edgy and usually a bit forgiving without ever being frumpy. A very clever brand. Just because I have turned 50 does not mean I don’t care about how I dress!

    Keep up the wonderful site
    Cheers
    Fran

  2. Dear Fran,
Thank you for a lovely comment. It sounds like you are living a very exciting and happy life and we would love to hear more about your New York trip! Although I visited NY many years ago it is definitely a destination I would love to re-visit in the not so distant future.
I almost feel that I know you a little bit now and would love to hear from you again.
    All the best, Malin x
