A naughty sweet treat

For as long as I can remember I’ve always had chewy soft spot for Opal Fruits…sorry, sorry they renamed them in the 90’s to Starburst didn’t they (however I still maintain Opal Fruits is better)

They’re a sweet highly reminiscent of my childhood and the fruity flavours and bright colours put me mind of summertime and as we know have….(wait for it)…. SUN- YES! that big ball of yellow that used to sit in the sky is back- I’ve now found my mind familiarising itself with sunshine memories, particular these sweet treats which has now incurred slight salivating at the desk…

Now as Im soon to be jetting off on holiday and I’ve been religiously working out on a bit of beach bod confidence for weeks, sweets at this point are a definite no-no. So what’s the next best thing and what equally helps with my packing dilemma….?

CLOTHES especially those bursting with star quality (like my play on words there GMFistas?

So lets get straight to my favourite flavour Strawberry:

Lime:

Blackcurrant:

Lemon( think they may have been extinguished along with the original name : (

Orange:

Right so holiday wardrobe sorted im off to pack!

See you later Getmyfashionistas

All I Want For Summer…

…is sun, sun, sun! …And dresses and sandals and lots of sunkissed skin!

And in its absence I am sitting here with a hot cup of coffee staring out the window at the rain falling down in masses…and dreaming up my summer holiday wardrobe.

I’m staying positive. It will come. And when the day is here I will be ready! Malin ;-D

I am loving the clean & crisp all-white look, as seen here by Sandwich in a linen & cotton jersey combo dress, jacket & cropped trousers. Click to shop Sandwich.

Pretty print is still a strong look mixing colours, print and as seen here, lots of girliness too. Above by Marilyn Moore, berry rose print dress and navy cropped cardigan. Click to shop Marilyn Moore.

A bit of tailoring is never wrong and the cream blazer is a key-item for this season. Go all cream with a few stripes for a cool, sophisticated summer-look. Click to shop Turnover.

Maxi-must-have! Oh, yes! This one by Odd Molly in light knit silver & grey cotton is a true lusting-piece. Here teamed with a long cardigan also from Odd Molly. Equally easy to wear with flip-flops for a beach-bbq as it is with heels for a summer-wedding. £/wear will be high and help you justify this purchase in no time! Need any more reasons to grab this gorgeousness? Click to shop Odd Molly.

Plain Jane or Print Queen?

The New hit of Sandwich got me to thinking today am I a Plain Jane or a Print Queen

And after much gazing & trying on & catwalking each piece I’ve decided I’m both!

Yes I love the clean lines, subtle colours and understated styling of simple pieces such is the uber cool hooded dress from Sandwich!

But I love to rock a print be it bold, ditsy, retro or of-the-moment there’s just something the vibes cool confidence- thanks again Sandwich!

And with the looooooooooooong bank holiday weekend coming up I think its ok to have at least 3 new pieces right- one for each day? ; )

What will you be dressing up or down to this weekend girlies?

Rhianna Wears Nobody Jeans

Well, if its cool enough for Rhianna…

Seems like the best investment to me at the moment. Get yourself a good pair of jeans and enjoy the feel of the perfect fit and the look of the perfect cut which you get when spending a few extra pennies on a pair of premium denim jeans.

Australian born, designed & made Nobody jeans is the thing of the moment and new in at Diva & Getmyfashion for this season the novelty doesn’t seem to wear off. They are simply fabulous! Choose between the Cult straight or the Cult Skinny, both with high rise waist to make sure the middle bit stays firmly in place.

Whilst waiting for summer to arrive, wear you Nobodys with tunics & dresses as an alternative to the legging or simply layer with summer-tees & knitwear under a blazer.

…and if its cool enough for Rhianna. Here she’s seen out in Paris with her Nobody Cult Skinny Code Jeans. Say no more…

Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!

Rain, rain & more rain- anyone else fed up of this girlies?

Where’s the sun?!

I just want to parade around in my dresses & flatforms or shorts & shades combos but Mother Nature appears to have her own agenda!

Well if you can’t beat them (the rain that is) then join them.

I’m going to team my dresses with leggings & long tees and switch shorts for cropped trousers. But the shades are going to stay- you’ve got to feel a bit rockstar when it’s all grey & miserable outside haven’t you?

In fact if you’re needing a helping hand being caught between two seasons right now then here’s two looks for spring layering inspiration:

Shine in the rain this week Getmyfashionistas, I know I’m going to TRY to ; )

I’ve come over all Coachella

Now I know we’ve got our Glastonbury and our Notting Hill Carnival etc BUT there’s nothing quite like Coachella is there?

For a few days now Ive been drooling over all the picture that flash up on my homepage, reading various blogs, noting all the gorge outfits- all of which might I add, send me into a sea of serious fest-envy grrrrrr!

How absolutely fabulous would it be to don my fest chic outfit, wear shades in the sun and rub shoulders with the likes of Cara Delevigne(we could discuss Burberry), Arizonia Muse (OTM model-would be a good friend to have ; ) and Kate Bosworth (hearting her style so much!)

*cue rain hitting GMF HQ windows*

Wait a minute…. I have just been brought back down to earth with a rather rudely, interrupting downpour outside *cue my sad face : ( *

Well as there’s no sunshine & shades in my immediate future right now at least I can dream of dressing the Coachella way!

This little number has just hit our etail shelves and I’m definitely grabbing one of them for my wardrobe:

I’ve already got the “Nothing to Hide” maxi skirt also from Minkpink so whilst im donning tights and berry canvas pumps with them right now I cant wait for stacked up platforms & silky vest dressing to accessorise these fab pieces!

Have you come over all Coachella yet?

Love your GMF Blogette,
